Pop-Up

Scenic Stitches is hosting a pop-up event at OddStory Central during their weekly “Stitch ‘n Bitch” event. We will have a mini-weaving activity (free to participate!) and will also be collecting old t-shirts and unwanted fabric (including bed sheets) to be used at the Scenic Stitches Spectacle. Bring your items to donate and come play!

Scenic Stitches Spectacle is a family-friendly outdoor festival in Coolidge Park that invites attendees to play with oversized fiber arts. Free to attend, large-scale fiber arts equipment will be available for attendees to try out, such as oversized weaving, cross stitch with cording (rather than thread), arm knitting, and more. Local fiber artists will be present for demos, as well as a market of art vendors and food. Attendees will also enjoy our yarn bombing installation.
Yarn bombing is a temporary installation of crochet material that is sewn to a stationary object (tree, bench, bike rack, etc).

Fiber Festival 2026

The Scenic Stitches Fiber Festival is returning for 2026! Join us at the Chattanooga Convention Center on February 28 and March 1 for our second year. This event will feature a vendor market for various fiber arts, classes, demos, and interactive fiber arts opportunities. More details to come!

Fairy & Folk Festival

Come visit our next Scenic Stitches pop-up on the weekend of May 24-25 at the @chattaudubon Fairy and Folk Festival!
This festival will include performances, food trucks, a vendor village, craft corner, fairy house competition, fairies of the world trail, live DnD with Seed Theatre, and mermaids swimming in S. Chickamauga Creek!

The first annual Scenic Stitches Fiber Festival took place at the Chattanooga Convention Center on the weekend of February 1-2, 2025. This event featured 70+ vendor booths and access to classes on various fiber arts, as well as handmade fashion shows, a scavenger hunt, and a stitch marker swap. This event was Chattanooga’s first fiber festival and marked the beginning of a series of events planned by Scenic Stitches.
